The Classic 650 is powered by a 647.95cc parallel-twin engine, delivering approximately 46.4 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 51.5 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm. This engine is air/oil-cooled and features Bosch electronic fuel injection for optimal performance. It is paired with a 6-speed constant mesh transmission and a wet multi-plate clutch, ensuring smooth gear shifts and efficient power delivery. The bike's top speed is around 157 km/h, and it offers a reported fuel efficiency of approximately 31 km/l, providing a commendable range for long-distance touring.

Chassis & Suspension

The Classic 650 utilizes a steel tubular double cradle frame, offering a blend of strength and agility. It is equipped with a 43mm Showa telescopic front fork providing 120mm of travel, and twin Showa shock absorbers at the rear with 90mm of travel. This setup ensures a stable ride, though some riders have noted that the suspension can feel stiff, especially on rougher surfaces. The bike's kerb weight stands at 243 kg, making it the heaviest in Royal Enfield's 650cc lineup.

Features & Technology

The Classic 650 is equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster that includes an analog speedometer and a digital LCD display showing gear position, fuel level, trip information, and more. It also features LED lighting throughout, including the signature 'tiger eye' headlamp. The bike comes with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety and a USB Type-C charging port for convenience.

True to its name, the Classic 650 embraces retro aesthetics with its vintage design elements, including a teardrop fuel tank, chrome accents, and a twin-pod headlamp.
